Now that I’m 28 years old I don’t really speak to my mom still but this song always reminds me of her and her choices

The idea that Layne "didn’t consider himself a singer". Imagine. The end with Mike Starr's family and Layne's parents was extremely touching, I've got to tears. I watch this about once a year. This band and those families have been through so much. 😢❤

I wish Layne could've seen this. 😢❤

The only problem is that if you've ever heard Layne sing a song, anyone else ever singing it again is gonna be disappointing and fairly lackluster. Rain When I die cover was really good, Corey Taylor was decent. Hetfield doesn't deserve to carry Layne's luggage.

Dallas Green (City and Colour) is a hometown hero in Canada. Really glad they got him involved in this. Fitting to have him, since Alice In Chains is THE REASON he does what he does. In Mr. Green's own words: "Anyone that knows me understands how incredibly deep my love for Alice In Chains goes. I can point to many musical mile markers that have helped me navigate this incredible journey that I’ve been on since I first picked up a guitar, but if you want to get to the bottom of why I make music the way that I do, it is this band. "Dirt was the first record I ever bought with my own money, on my birthday, September 29th, 1992 at the Lincoln Mall in St. Catharines, Ontario." Also, cool how he changed it up by doing it all in 4/4 vs the 6/4 used in most of the original. All in all, amazing cover from a Canadian legend.
